My Baby Sister's Nikah

Alhamdulillah the nikah ceremony went great. Although the number of guests exceeded the expected number, the food was enough for everyone. My sister, Tiyah had always been the kind of person who didn't want to be same as anyone else, hence, there were quite a few unique things during her nikah. Her pelamin was also different... the colors were very vibrant and most of the comments from the guests were that they had never seen a pelamin like this! Haha. It was Tiyah's idea, and she conveyed her ideas to Nas and he designed the whole thing.. and alhamdulillah, we're very happy with the design. The pelamin is still up in our living room, Nas will take everything off after 2 weeks.

As for the food, Tiyah wanted a 'hawker-style' concept, instead of a normal buffet of Nasi Briyani. So we chose Chelos to cater the food... the menu was good, but I didn't get to taste them properly. There were grilled lamb, char kuey teow, Briyani daging, chocolate fountain, ABC, cendol and some traditional malay kuih. The only time I got to taste the food was when I 'stole' a few bites of my mother-in-law's plate. Hihi.

We cannot wait to get the pictures and videos. We hired Danial Zain as the photographer, his assistant is his wife, Maryam Zain... how sweet is that, right? I love the couple.. they are so so sweet and Maryam is supercool! I'm glad I met them.

Right now, the newly weds are on their honeymoon in Pulau Tioman... and all I can say is

that I miss them so much. Tomorrow insyallah, my husband, Kak Wa (SIL), Naufal and I are going back to Kedah... I cannot wait for that. I wished that I could put up pictures but then I am not using my laptop to blog.. I cannot get the wifi in my room (sigh)... and I am just not bothered to move things around. Ok... have to get back to studying for my interview with SPA and MMC tomorrow. Ohyeah.. yesterday, I finally found the time to report myself to Petronas... after two weeks of touch down!
